To install the Locklizard Safeguard Secure Viewer, you must first download the application for your operating system and then activate your unique license file. The entire process operates without passwords, using automated digital rights management (DRM) keys instead.
Follow these steps to complete the installation on your specific device. 📋 Prerequisites Before You Start
Check Your Email: The publisher of your protected document must email you a license file link or a .llv attachment. Check your spam folder if you do not see it.
Internet Connection: You must be online during setup to register your software license. 💻 Installation for Windows PC
Download the Installer: Open the email from your document publisher, click the Windows link, and download the executable file from the official Locklizard Downloads Page.
Run as Administrator: Right-click the downloaded setup file in your downloads folder and select “Run as administrator”.
Follow the Wizard: Click Next, accept the license agreement, select the Typical installation type, and click Install. Click Finish once done.
Activate Your License: Go back to your email, click the license file link (or double-click the attached .llv file), and download it. Click Open File to automatically register your license with the viewer. 🍏 Installation for Mac
Download the PKG File: Open the publisher’s email, click the Mac link, and download the Mac OSX PKG file from the Locklizard Portal.
Launch the Installer: Open your downloads folder and click on locklizard_safeguard_viewer.pkg. If prompted to install Rosetta, click Install and provide your Mac password.
Complete Setup: Click Continue, accept the agreement, select your destination, and hit Install. Grant the app permission to access your folders if prompted.
